UniChem Launches Second Year Of ‘Your Pre-Reg’
UniChem Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of the second
year of ‘your pre-reg’, its pre-registration training support package for
independent pharmacists. Following a successful first year of the programme,
UniChem can confirm it will be offering the package to customers for a second
year, at an improved price of £3,750 + VAT per student.
The 2007/2008 course has proved beneficial to independent pharmacists who have
widely endorsed the programme. Raymond Hall of Hall’s Pharmacy in Hull
commented: “The ‘your pre-reg’ programme has meant that I have not had to worry
about going through piles of paperwork, which has left me free to impart my 40
years of experience and knowledge on to my student Ali. As a result I have been
able to work towards leaving him in a position where he will be able to run his
own business in the future.”
Urvashi Patel of Elora Pharmacy in South Benfleet, Essex, also commented: “The
coursework that the students receive is very well structured and ensures that
learning takes place, while the calculations received on a monthly basis and at
the conferences are of real benefit to the students, and are important in
providing essential exam practice. The structure of the whole pre-reg programme
is easy to follow and the combination of coursework and conferences work well
together, providing a good base for the students to develop.”
The 2008/2009 programme will kick off with a tutor training session that will
take place in the final week of July. All training materials, as well as tutor
and trainee support, will be centrally provided by UniChem’s dedicated
Professional Services team. The package comes as a result of shared knowledge
from within Alliance Boots and is designed to provide a comprehensive and fully
mapped-out course, which meets the requirements of the RPSGB.
