First Alphega Pharmacy Store Opens in the UK Following
Successful Pilots
Morsy Lewis Pharmacy in Birkenhead today celebrated its grand
opening as part of the Alphega Pharmacy UK virtual chain.
Morsy Lewis is the first fully branded Alphega Pharmacy store to open its doors
in the North of England and follows in the footsteps of five independent
pharmacy stores in the South which have been Alphega Pharmacy pilot stores
since November 2007.
Owner pharmacist David Lewis says: “There has been a pharmacy in the Beechwood
and Ballantyne community for over 30 years. I have owned the business for six
years and within this time there has been a huge change within community
pharmacy. A modern pharmacy is no longer a place just to have your prescription
dispensed.
“Morsy Lewis Pharmacy has undergone a complete refit in conjunction with Alphega
Pharmacy. I believe this will enable us to offer a fantastic and modern
pharmacy that will meet many of our community’s health needs for the future as
well as still offering the same personal service that our pharmacies pride
themselves on.
“All of the staff here are really excited about the re-opening. The ‘new look’
store is fantastic and we are looking forward to providing our customers with a
diverse range of high quality healthcare services and advice. The new store is
about far more than just what you see on the outside – it is about what we can
do to improve the health of people in our community. From my point of view,
joining Alphega Pharmacy will enable me to take my business into the future by
grasping the opportunities and rising to the challenges.”
Morsy Lewis Pharmacy was officially re-opened today by David Lewis and Mike
Smith, Chairman of UniChem.
