Leader of the Year" Awards, and received a silver award for "Business Change or
Transformation –Employee First" at the recent UK Employee Experience Awards 2017, held
at Park Plaza Riverbank in London.

learning and personal development.
Dave Bull, General Manager, Skills in Healthcare won "Inspiring Leader of the Year" for his
drive and commitment to employee engagement. Not only has Dave accelerated change
within his department by putting colleagues and customers at the heart of his decision
making, he also took his department from no external accreditation to Investors in People
(IiP) Gold.
Dave said: "I‟m delighted to have received this award. I‟m fortunate to have been
empowered and trusted to lead engagement development in Skills in Healthcare. By using
the IiP framework, I‟ve focused on timely, effective people management and communication
work. I‟m also privileged to work with such a passionate and supportiveteam, where
everyone is contributing to the success of our department and the high engagement levels
we enjoy."
Alliance Healthcare also won the "Employee Insight and Feedback Award" for its innovative
work on initiatives such as „The Loop‟ and "Buzzbox" – both of which are designed to
ascertain how colleagues are feeling and gather ideas for improvement.
The business wowed the judges with how these initiatives help create a culture of asking for
insight, acting upon it and making improvements. The panel liked how Buzzbox gives all
colleagues a voice, not just those with email access. Additionally, they welcomed how „The
Loop' acknowledged that Alliance Healthcare team members are experts in their jobs and,
therefore, are the best people to identify better ways of doing things to improve.

The judging panel were impressed with how "We take care personally" has empowered colleagues to make changes, to get on and fix gaps in the customer and colleague journey without having to go through lots of level of approvals. They also liked how the programme has created a culture where colleagues are proactive in addressing customer experience issues, as well as looking out for each other and challenging the status quo.
John Geddes, Alliance Healthcare, Commercial Development Director, said: "This is a fantastic achievement and testament to the excellent work the teams have done to launchand support "We take care, personally".
"It‟s great to be recognised by industry leading professionals who acknowledge the strength and quality of what we have achieved, when benchmarked against other forward thinking organisations.
