Alliance Healthcare teams show they care

Valentine's Day spirit was certainly in the air across Alliance Healthcare in the UK as teams celebrated the romantic day with a number of light-hearted fundraising activities.

In Scotland, colleagues from the Coatbridge Service Centre put on quite a  day with a Valentine's Day themed quiz and Valentine's themed poetry competition. Elsewhere in Leigh, colleagues from the NWOS team put together a mega fundraising day, raising over £160 for Action Medical Research, with a Valentine's Day raffle. They also had a Valentine's post box where team members could post secret Valentine's cards for their colleagues. Speaking of the day, Rebecca Livesey, Comms Champs, NWOS said: "We had a great day and have seen a huge response on the activities planned, and a lot of happy staff who felt the love today!"

It's the  Customer Service team that once against stepped up to the fundraising challenge and organised a bumper raffle. The team at South Normanton also held a raffle and raised over £180, and the team at the Support Centre dressed in red to raise additional funds. The CSR and Comms Champs teams also organised a little poem hunt challenge, where Comms Champs shared clues on where little ‘roses are red, violets are blue' rhymes are hidden around the building. The lucky winner of the challenge won a £20 Debenhams voucher to enjoy. A special Valentine's raffle also took place with top prize – a hamper of Harrod's Champagne – won by Siobhan Brennan.  Janice Clarke from the OTC Telesales Team, also known as "Queen of Hearts", supported the fundraising cause with a "guess the sweets in the bowl" competition.

Collectively the teams raised over £600, to help Action Medical Research'swork and funding medical research to beat the diseases that devastate the lives of so many of our children.
