Alphega Pharmacy member is honoured for 40 years' service

An Alphega Pharmacy member recently celebrated 40 years of being at the heart of his community

After no less than 40 years of serving the local  residents of Lancing, Alphega Pharmacy member Shabbir Jafferali of Wilmshurst Pharmacy was given a birthday surprise by customers and friends, in recognition of his dedication and contribution to the community

Mr Jafferali, who has also been an Alliance Healthcare customer throughout his 40 years at the pharmacy, was celebrating his 70th birthday alongside his 40 years' service anniversary. He was treated to a birthday cake and a personalised caricature card in a gesture of gratitude among so many who benefited from his services.

He said: "I was overwhelmed by the kind gesture and very touched that so many people went out of their way to surprise me. It's very important for me to be a central part of the community."

Richard King, Alphega Pharmacy Business Mentor, said: "It's an impressive milestone for Mr Jafferali, an example to look up to for any community pharmacy.  His business represents a true epitome of a pharmacy at the heart of local community."
