These services are complimented by a range of IT applications to efficiently manage procurement, such as:

  • Electronic ordering with instant stock responses
  • Electronic invoicing
  • Alliance Healthcare Direct — our product availability website, featuring bespoke customer pricing
  • your documents — online access to your statements and invoices

How we support you

Each account is managed individually by an experienced Regional Hospital Account Manager who meets regularly with the hospital to review the service and map the changing needs and requirements of each  customer.

Account managers analyse customer purchasing trends and offer advice on driving further efficiencies into the procurement processes, to help optimise efficiency and control resource usage.

For day to day support, Alliance Healthcare prides itself in having comprehensive and localised hospital specific customer services teams who understand hospital customer's requirements and ensure their needs are met in full.

National Focus Group

An essential part of the service is to ensure that we continue to adapt to the changing needs of hospital pharmacy, therefore four years ago we created a National Focus Group.

This group is made of up of medicines procurement specialist pharmacists and supply chain experts, who meet regularly to discuss the changing needs of pharmacy within secondary care, from challenging any inefficiencies within the current service provision to identifying ways in which the service needs to adapt and change in order to be relevant for the future.
