webprescriptions is a new service for independent community pharmacies, which allows you to provide private prescriptions online.
What is the service?
Meeting the growing public need for online private prescriptions, webprescriptions* provides patients with access to a wide range of prescription-only medicines using the convenience and accessibility of their local pharmacy, whilst benefiting from robust clinical screening and confidential patient assessment.
How does it work?

Patients compete a confidential online questionnaire and prescription request which is forwarded to a registered GP or prescribing professional at Medical Prescriptions Services Limited (MPS).
If a patient is suitable for treatment, an electronic prescription is sent to the pharmacy for dispensing. If the treatment is not recommended, the patient will be contacted by a registered health professional from MPS.
Prescription requests are managed by Medescribe who are registered with the Care Quality Commission to prescribe remotely.
